SAFETY STOP

Privacy policy

PRIVACY · UPDATED 12 OCTOBER 2026

Your information. Your choices.

We use information to run this website, fulfill orders and help you when something needs attention. Here is how that works.

Who is responsible.

Safety Stop is operated by Be Clément, Route de la Broye 25, 1700 Fribourg, Switzerland, UID CHE-456.542.901. Contact info@safetystop.co for privacy questions or requests.

When you visit.

Netlify hosts our website and Printify serves product images. They receive technical information needed to deliver these services, including your IP address, browser and request details. We use this processing to deliver and protect the website.

Your basket, selected country and display currency are saved in your browser. They remain until you change or clear them, or your browser removes them. Clearing site storage also clears your saved basket.

When you order or contact us.

Shopify provides checkout, payment processing, order records and order emails. It processes your contact and delivery details, selected products and payment information. We receive the order and transaction details needed to manage your purchase; payment credentials are handled by the payment services.

Printify and the production and delivery partners handling your order receive the product selection, recipient name, delivery address and relevant contact details so they can make and deliver it. Infomaniak provides our support mailbox and processes messages and attachments you send us.

We use these records to fulfill our contract, provide support, investigate problems, handle refunds and meet accounting obligations. Where relevant law requires a legal basis, contract performance, legal obligations and our legitimate interests in secure service and proportionate support apply. Placing an order does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing.

Cookies and Shopify services.

Shopify provides the privacy preferences control accessible through “Privacy choices” in our footer. You can allow or decline optional personalization, marketing and analytics cookies, and revisit your choices. Necessary processing for checkout and security continues.

Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled. Shopify uses customer information from interactions with our store and other merchants to improve and personalize its services, including advertising, subject to applicable permissions and choices. Shopify also acts as a controller for its own consumer services. Read its consumer privacy policy and use its privacy portal for Shopify-wide requests and advertising choices. You can also contact us to exercise rights concerning Safety Stop.

Where information is processed.

We operate in Switzerland, and Infomaniak hosts our mailbox in Switzerland. Our other providers operate internationally. Netlify is a US provider. Shopify processes information through its international group and service providers. Printify identifies processing in the United States, Latvia, Poland, Spain and the United Kingdom, as well as through its service providers. Production and delivery information is also processed where the partners fulfilling your order operate.

Provider contracts govern processing on our behalf and international transfers. Shopify and Netlify describe safeguards including standard contractual clauses with Swiss provisions; Printify describes contractual safeguards in its processing terms. You can request information about recipients and the safeguards relevant to your order from us.

Further provider information: Netlify, Shopify, Printify and Infomaniak.

How long records are needed.

Necessary Swiss bookkeeping records are retained for ten years from the end of the relevant financial year. Other records are retained according to their purpose, an unresolved support case or dispute, and applicable legal requirements. This does not mean every support attachment must be kept for ten years. Providers also retain service and security records under their own policies. Browser preferences remain as described above.

Your rights.

Email us to request access, correction or deletion, or to exercise applicable objection, restriction and portability rights. You can withdraw consent for optional processing without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity, and some records must remain for legal obligations. You may complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner or the competent authority where you live.

We update this notice when our processing changes. The date above identifies this version.
